About Bruna Plans Travels
Hi, I’m Bruna. I’m 25 years old and I live in Brazil.
If you came here expecting a travel blogger who has been everywhere, tested every hotel, taken every train and has a favorite restaurant in every European capital… well, I have some bad news.
I’m not that person.
And that is actually one of the reasons I created Bruna Plans Travels.
So… why a travel blog?
I have always loved traveling. The problem is that, for most of my life, I haven’t been able to travel nearly as much as I would like.
I grew up in Brazil without a lot of money, and for a long time, even traveling outside my own state felt like a big deal.
My first flight was only when I was already an adult. I remember being ridiculously excited about flying for the first time, although my body apparently had a different opinion, because I spent part of the flight feeling sick.
After that, I learned an important travel lesson. Maybe take something for motion sickness before getting on the plane.
Progress.
Since then, I’ve traveled more, but I’m still very far from being a full-time traveler.
What I do have is an almost unreasonable love for researching trips.
I might actually like planning more than traveling
For years, I could spend hours wandering around Google Maps.
I would virtually walk through streets in Italy, Austria and Luxembourg, look at buildings, castles, mountains and beaches, check out tourist attractions and explore neighborhoods I had never actually been to.
Then I would open Booking or Airbnb and look at apartments with beautiful views, calculate how much it would cost to stay there, and occasionally (because apparently I like making my own life harder) check how much it would cost to buy a house there.
I wasn’t just looking at destinations.
I was imagining myself there.
Sometimes I would spend late nights exploring places I desperately wanted to visit, even when I knew I couldn’t afford the trip yet.
And honestly?
I still do this.
That is where this blog came from.
I research trips as if they were my own
Bruna Plans Travels is not a blog where I pretend to have personally experienced every destination I write about.
If I haven’t been somewhere, I’ll tell you.
Instead, I approach travel research the way I would if I were actually booking the trip myself.
I want to know how much things cost, where I would stay, how I would get around, which attractions are worth prioritizing, how many days I would need, what I would book in advance and what I would probably skip.
And then I want to figure out what I would actually do.
Because there is a big difference between knowing everything a destination has to offer and deciding what is actually worth putting into a limited itinerary.
That’s the part I enjoy.
What you’ll find here
Bruna Plans Travels is a place for travel guides, itineraries, destination research, costs, accommodation, transportation, attractions, restaurants and all the little decisions that come with planning a trip.
Some posts are practical and very detailed.
Some are more about dreaming and figuring out how I would make a trip happen.
And sometimes you’ll find me comparing completely different options because apparently I cannot simply choose one thing without researching seventeen alternatives first.
You know. For science.
I also want to be honest about where the information comes from.
When something is based on my own experience, I’ll make that clear.
When something comes from research, I’ll tell you that too.
And when I’m giving you my opinion about what I would choose, that’s my analysis, not a claim that there is one universally correct way to travel.
A travel blog for people who love planning
You don’t have to be able to travel all the time to love traveling.
You don’t even have to have your next trip booked.
Sometimes planning a trip is part of the fun.
Sometimes you research a destination months or years before you can actually go.
Sometimes you spend an unreasonable amount of time looking at hotels you absolutely cannot afford.
I know the feeling.
So this blog is where I get to do exactly that. Research the trips I want to take, organize everything I discover, share what I would actually do, and hopefully make your own travel planning a little easier.
Maybe some of the places I write about will eventually become places I’ve actually visited.
Until then, I’ll keep researching them as if I were packing my suitcase tomorrow.
And if you’re here doing the same thing, welcome.
I’m glad you’re here.

Your next trip might start with a little research.
Pick a destination and let’s start planning.
